with childish enthusiasm i corner evaporating pieces of childish enthusiasm on pieces of paper. what is really important for those growing old is assuming this scowling parade of yawns is why we evolved. erase the glint of discovery from a child’s eye and you have cruelty. erase cruelty from an adult’s eyes and you have a vegetable. will my child have the cruelty to compete? I just don’t know.
