Like a Cat (Fame!)

I was ending my shift at the diviest dive and a girl says to me, "My mom read your poetry and wanted to know if you were homeless."
"No," I says. "You can tell her I am like a cat." I paused to navigate an unrulley shot glass to my poetry hole. "I always shit in a box."

drinking

the army of ulcers
waiters and bartenders

of akwardness.
